A week or so ago, °®½´ÊÓÆµ men’s soccer coach Rogelio Ochoa was talking about the importance of upcoming Bay Valley Conference matches on the schedule against Yuba College-Marysville and College of Marin-Kentfield.

°®½´ÊÓÆµ grant will help prepare NVUSD students for college

°®½´ÊÓÆµ has been awarded a $1,852,865 TRIO Educational Talent Search grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Oscar De Haro, °®½´ÊÓÆµ assistant superintendent/vice president for student affairs announced today. The grant will fund the college’s partnership with °®½´ÊÓÆµ Unified School District (NVUSD) to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds starting with the current 2021-2022 academic school year and running through 2026.

At the October 14 Board of Trustees meeting, the board recognized Latinx Heritage and Filipinx American History Month, and they approved a resolution requiring vaccinations. The Board also heard updates on the Institutional Strategic Plan and redistricting process, and more.

°®½´ÊÓÆµ receives $5 million grant to increase STEM degrees among Latinx students

°®½´ÊÓÆµ (°®½´ÊÓÆµ) has been awarded nearly $5 million in a five-year grant to increase the number of Latinx and low-income students earning degrees in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and to build model transfer agreements between two-year and four-year colleges in those areas, Oscar De Haro, assistant superintendent/vice president for student affairs announced today.
